The staff and management of Scoil Eoghain have developed good practice in the provision of educational opportunities and resources for all pupils.

This has been supported by the school’s Parents’ Association who have been constant in their efforts to assist the school in its endeavours.

One of our most exciting ventures is the School Library.  The pupils learn how a library operates and are able to explore subjects of interest.

The aims of our School Library are as follows:

  • To provide opportunities for pupils to enhance reading and listening skills.
  • To develop skills for independent learning.
  • To offer a range of quality materials and to encourage good practice in the use of the library as a resource of learning and enjoyment.
  • To assist pupils discover about the world we live in.

All classes visit the Library at least once a week. Pupils become library members and borrow books regularly.  This has proved to be a very popular facility both recreational and educational.
